Happy New Years!

January 1, 2009

I cannot tell you how we, the staff of the Japanese/Anime Culture Club are proud of our anime community in their feats during the year of 2008. From the dubbing of the famous Gurren Lagann series to the successful release of new anime in Japan. This year has certainly been an eventful one, but none the less we should hope for even more in 2009. In short, Happy New Year to everyone, especially those faithful to the club!

Veteran’s Day and Other News

November 11, 2008

Let us not forget the people who sacrificed their lives and those who still live today, and their courage in fighting for our freedom.

Now, onto other news.

As you’ve noticed, I’ve been lazy in updating the reviews and other things on the site, mainly because of the school workload. All areas that need to be updated will. If anyone wants to contribute to the site, whether it be a review, anime news, or a photo related to anime, Japanese culture, or manga that you think is interesting, please e-mail me at viceprez.tanaka@gmail.com so that I can enter you as an author and you can get crackin’ on whatever you want to contribute to the club’s website. Later in the month (hopefully) we’ll be talking about a certain event that will happen next year.

ooooo… scary.

October 28, 2008

Alright, so as most of you are aware, Halloween is coming up as well as our Friday meeting which will also be hosted as a Halloween party. You may bring your own candy/beverages to share you if you’d like, but it is not required. If you are planning to, tell us if you’re going to dress up as your favorite anime/manga character, and we’ll take pictures of you in your costume and then post it on http://www.JACCdump.tk/

Later in the year we’ll be using that site to host Anime Boston 2009 photos. Exciting, isn’t it?

P.S. The link will always be located in the link area (of course), and you may request photos to be posted on there by e-mailing viceprez.tanaka@gmail.com.

Revisions and Products

October 28, 2008

Since the club was established, it certainly has matured, along with its audience (that’s you!). There are big plans in the works to upgrade the blog into an actual site. Everything should be in order by at least March. These upgrades include the change of the site name from the long-winded blog name to a smaller url (i.e. http://www.[site name].com) As well as more podcasts that will be hosted.
