Veteran’s Day and Other News

November 11, 2008

Let us not forget the people who sacrificed their lives and those who still live today, and their courage in fighting for our freedom.

Now, onto other news.

As you’ve noticed, I’ve been lazy in updating the reviews and other things on the site, mainly because of the school workload. All areas that need to be updated will. If anyone wants to contribute to the site, whether it be a review, anime news, or a photo related to anime, Japanese culture, or manga that you think is interesting, please e-mail me at so that I can enter you as an author and you can get crackin’ on whatever you want to contribute to the club’s website. Later in the month (hopefully) we’ll be talking about a certain event that will happen next year.

Revisions and Products

October 28, 2008

Since the club was established, it certainly has matured, along with its audience (that’s you!). There are big plans in the works to upgrade the blog into an actual site. Everything should be in order by at least March. These upgrades include the change of the site name from the long-winded blog name to a smaller url (i.e. http://www.[site name].com) As well as more podcasts that will be hosted.

Welcome to the JACC

October 1, 2008

Well, if you’re new I guess there’s no other way to start this year off with the introduction to the new Japanese/Anime Culture Club’s website. Towards the right on the homepage you can locate several links to different pages, including podcasters’ pages as well as the weekly (or biweekly–depending on the seriousness taken to review each thing we watch) follow-up for the JACC meetings.

We are scheduled to begin our first meeting 3 weeks following the EC Fair, which will be the 10th of October 2008.  Please note that you will need to create wordpress accounts (for username only if you wish) in order to access some of the posts that will be typed up during the school year for the club.

Throughout the year we will also be attending Anime Boston, Boston’s own anime convention at the Hynes Convention Center during the Memorial Day weekend, which will be March 22-24, 2009. The site can be visited by clicking on the Anime Boston link over at the links section of the page.

At certain points throughout the year the staff members of the JACC will try to conduct contests as well.
